Abstract
During field survey of eriophyoid mites in northeast Iran (Razavi Khorasan, Iran, summer 2023), two new eriophyoid mite species (Acari: Eriophyoidea: Eriophyidae) on Zygophyllum atriplicoides Fisch. et C.A.Mey. subsp. atriplicoides (Zygophyllaceae) were discovered, illustrated and described herein. They are Aceria kalatiensis sp. nov., which caused rounded galls on both sides of the leaves, and Aculus sirzariensis sp. nov., which was vagrant on the same samples. Furthermore, we provided a checklist of eriophyoid mite species associated with Zygophyllaceae plants of the world.
