Abstract
Astragalus miksensis Fırat (sect. Hymenostegis Bunge), a new species is described from Bahçesaray (Miks)/Van province, Türkiye. The new species is morphologically similar to Astragalus zohrabi Bunge, from which it differs in several morphological features including stipules, leaves, peduncle, indumentum, inflorescence shape, flower, ovary, fruit and seed characters. A comprehensive description of Astragalus miksensis is provided, including detailed photographs, distribution map, habitat and ecology, vernacular names and IUCN conservation status.
