Abstract
The present study investigated the chemopreventive potential of geraniol by monitoring the tumor incidence and analyzing the status of early response gene, signalling pathways (NF-kB, CREB, cyclic AMP, RAS-MAPK, ERK1/2, p38, PI3K/AKT, PTEN) and also clarifying the significance of DNA methylation alteration during endometrial carcinogenesis type I and type II cells (HEC-155/180, HEC-1A). These genes communicate through a signalling cascade by adding phosphate group to neighboring proteins and this will eventually activate and translocate. This shows that an integrated computational approach combined with biological knowledge could identify expression signatures as potential diagnostic biomarkers common to multiple tumors.
