Abstract
Summary The paper describes a method of defining the curves relating ultimate load and moment for rectangular columns having an equal area of steel in each face, and subjected to any radial eccentricity of loading. This leads to a method of accurate and rapid design. The validity of the approach is demonstrated by case analysis.
