Abstract
The adequacy of the porosity/cement ratio in predicting elastic and plastic characteristics of an artificially cemented soil under isotropic compression is examined. A number of isotropic compression tests, unconfined compression tests and characterisation tests were carried out. The results show that the porosity/cement ratio is useful in estimating, under a stress path of isotropic compression, the incremental yield stress and initial bulk modulus of artificially cemented soil cured under stress.
