Abstract
Climate change is the biggest threat to the planet at present, and the consequent change in infrastructure requirements will require everyone, in particular civil engineers, to respond in the way they design, construct and maintain infrastructure. This paper sets out the Institution of Civil Engineers’ response to the challenge by setting up a task force to provide input to all its members so that they are better equipped to deal with the challenge. The aim of the task force is to provide material by the end of 2017 that will help all members and to influence the wider public.
