Abstract

This paper describes the construction of a complex pharmaceutical factory in Beijing, China, using a building information model. The model was used for design error checks, five-dimensional scheduling, construction simulation, multi-dimensional visualisation, technical clarification and costing. Through application of the model, construction management and efficiency were improved and cost and time savings were achieved.
