Abstract
Fourteen Indo-Malayan and Australo-Oceanian genera undoubtedly or possibly belonging to Podoscirtini are characterized; 4 new genera, 2 new subgenera, and 17 new species are described; several other species are considered (including revisions of type material, information about systematic position of some forms, and new data on distrubution). Status of three generic names is changed into subgeneric (Peltia, Archenopterus, Mundeicus). One tribal name (Adenopterini Otte, 1994) is considered nomen nudum. New synonymy (Promnesibulus syn. n. = Mnesibulus s. str.) is established. Lectotypes for Poliotrella greeni and Varitrella conspersa as well as a neotype for Matuanus priapus are designated.
