Abstract
The writer designed and implemented a Social Skills and Human Relationships Training Program which was introduced into one of Queensland's protection prisons. The design included evaluation procedures which were applied to a group study. Six inmates participated in the program which involved basic and complex social skills and sexual relationships training. The results indicated the utility of the program, especially in terms of the acquisition of personal insights. Recommendations for future programs include assessment of transfer of skills to the community setting. The essential feature of the program was its flexibility so that the individual needs of each inmate could be met as fully as possible.
