Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify patients with predisposing risk factors signaling further workup for the presence of hypercoagulable states before performance of arterial reconstruction. In patients so identified, specific methods were used to promote the patency of the arterial reconstruction during the postoperative period. Fourteen patients were identified with 16 coagulation defects, and in them, 19 arterial reconstructions (some bilateral) were performed. Most of the reconstructions have remained patent with or without revision.
