Abstract
The use of a dacron cuff to reinforce the suture line for aortic inlay grafts is a routine procedure. The case reported here demonstrates a potential complica tion of this technique in that a functional aortic stenosis can occur. The use of routine intraoperative arterial pressure measurements detected this problem, which was resolved by removal of the cuff.
