Abstract
The aim of this literature review is to examine the potential impact of the introduction of the Drug Rehabilitation Requirement (DRR) on homeless drug-using offenders. There is however, little research into either the recently introduced DRR, or court-ordered treatment imposed upon people who are homeless. The article is, therefore, confined to reviewing research and literature into the predecessor of the DRR — the Drug Treatment and Testing Order (DTTO). The article will then explore how DRRs may perform similarly or differently to DTTOs and what issues emerge for people who are homeless.
