Measurement of Some Sources of Variability in Colorimetric Analysis

Abstract

Variability, indicated by within-batch reproducibility, was measured for direct colorimetric assays of glucose and urea at two concentrations. Separate determinations were made of variability associated with the volumetric and colorimetric stages of the analyses, allowing the actual chemical variability to be calculated. The latter forms the major portion of the total variability in both assays.
