Abstract
The intent of this article is to advance humanistic psychology in academia, practice, and the general public. Despite its enormous contributions and advances, there are a number of issues, problems, and challenges faced by humanistic psychology. Primary among these are humanistic psychology's minimal representation in American universities, declining membership in humanistic organizations, a lack of a coherent and shared vision, a plan for future development, and strategies to enhance our growth and impact. Concrete proposals are offered to address the challenges facing humanistic psychology. A call to action is issued to those concerned about our future.
