Management Development in Areas where the Concern for Such Activity is Recent

Abstract

The next three papers offer different perspectives on the application of management development in voluntary and educational organisations. Both Harry Gray, and, in the next paper, Don Grisbrook focus on the problem of whether methods and solutions developed in the commercial sector are an asset to, or are inappropriate in a non-commercial context. They do so however from different perspectives. In the third paper in this group, Kathleen Cox and Mike Lavelle describe from their own experience an example of organisational development in secondary schools.
