Design and implementation of english learning platform for college school students based on virtual community and image processing technology

Abstract

With the deepening internationalization of China’s economy and society, English has gradually become a common language for Chinese people to connect with the world, and plays an increasingly important role in daily life. At the same time, Chinese people’s mastery of English is gradually improving. Grasping the foundation of this period can effectively improve students’ English level, and it will play a very important role in further learning English or job hunting in the future. Therefore, how to improve the interest of college school students in English learning and improve their ability and level of English learning is particularly important. Virtual community refers to a group of people who communicate and discuss through the Internet and are willing to share some knowledge and information in the exchange, and gradually develop into a social network aggregation. This paper designs an English learning platform for college school students based on virtual community and image processing technology. The platform is developed with SSM framework. After the development, the platform is tested for college school students in several schools in Xi’an. The experimental results show that the system can effectively stimulate students’ interest in learning English, and then improve students’ vocabulary and academic performance, which provides an effective reference for the study of students’ learning methods.
