Abstract
Though S.H. Foulkes has not presented to us a detailed outline of a theory of group analysis, his philosophy (as he called it) can be found dispersed throughout his articles and books. This article attempts to gather various strands of his thinking about groups and show that many of his ideas have a strong affinity with certain aspects of existential phenomenology.
