Abstract

The phagocytic and killing capacities of human blood, gingival crevicular, and salivary polymorphonuclear leukocytes for oral streptococci have been examined. Crevicudar and salivary leukocytes were active in phagocytosis and killing of oral streptococci, but were impaired in these respects compared with blood leukocytes.
