Abstract

Pulp reactions to four dental restorative materials were studied in 318 teeth of 12 rhesus monkeys. Materials included a resin-bonded, quartz-filled composite; that same composite with methyl methacrylate added; silicate; and zinc oxide-eugenol. The overall incidence of irritation was low after 15 and 30 days.
