The Morphologic Relationship Between Dental Resins and Etched Dentin

Abstract

The interface between different resins and dentin etched with orthophosphoric acid indicated that tubules and their lateral extensions were occupied by resin. The extent and depth of penetration were influenced by the drying procedure. Penetration was approximately 0.2 mm after drying according to clinical protocol, and approximately 2.0 mm after drying dentin for 24 hours.
