Tess Bennett, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Special Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana—Champaign and president of the Division for Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children. Her primary research interests are in the areas of families with children with disabilities and cross-cultural studies. 2. Vicki Rowe, PhD, is pursuing an MA in education at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. She is the parent of a child with a disability and has worked closely with other parents as an advisor and advocate.
3. Deborah DeLuca is a graduate student in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign and will receive her MA in counseling psychology in May 1996.
