Abstract
THIS paper summarises the findings of a two-year research and development project to design, imple ment and evaluate materials for use in alcohol edu cation at the workplace. Conducted in association with a major national employer, the Post Office, the project demonstrated that education and training initiatives can make a significant contribution to employees' knowledge of alcohol, and also aid man agement in the implementation of a problem drink ing policy. The authors make recommendations concerning the planning of future initiatives in this area.
