Abstract
'JIMMY on the road to super health' is a health education programme designed for use in the upper primary school. The programme, which is particular ly concerned with the prevention of smoking, was developed with the assistance of teachers in Strathclyde region, Scotland. Evaluation conducted during the development of the programme has demonstrated that it is eminently acceptable to teachers and pupils alike. Short-term studies also indicate that the programme increases childrens' health knowledge and deters some from smoking.
