Abstract
This paper focuses on the evaluation of individualized education programs or IEPs. The paper discusses IEP evaluation in terms of (a) general considerations for evaluation and (b) evaluation of the overall IEP effort. General considerations discussed include purposes for evaluation, a framework for evaluating the IEP, and participants in the evaluation process . The section on evaluating the IEP effort presents suggestions for the types of standards and methods that might be used in evaluation of each specific component of the total effort.
