Abstract
The effect of human relations training for tour leaders on travelers'satisfaction with tour quality was investigated. Twelve tour leaders classified as possessing a high authoritarian-dogmatic-rigid personality and sixteen possessing a low authoritarian- dogmatic-rigid personality were randomly assigned to either the group that received the training (experimental) or the group that did not participate in it (control). It was found that the travelers under the tour leaders who participated in the human relations training were more satisfied with the quality of the tour, at different periods of the tour, than travelers under tour leaders who did not participate in the training program. Further research directions in this area were suggested.
