Abstract
This study compares hosts' and guests' responses to questions regarding the guests' travel motives, excursions, and perception of the tourist resource base in a farm tourism setting in southern Germany. It shows a high degree of conformity, indicating that hosts have an intimate knowledge of their guests. Further, the article analyzes the economic potential of farm tourism. It suggests that farm tourism often forms only a supplementary income.
