Abstract
Continuous intrathecal infusion of lignocaine was used for nine weeks in the control of pain from sacral chordoma not responding to opioid administration. In the period of infusion, sacral and calcaneal pressure sores healed as a consequence of improved patient movement by nursing staff and, possibly, continuous sympathetic blockade.
