Abstract

Types of euthanasia are described, and active, voluntary euthanasia defined. Arguments for active, voluntary euthanasia and the assumptions upon which these are based are presented. Counter arguments are also presented, with suggested alternatives to active, voluntary euthanasia in modern health care provision.
