Abstract
Story is one of the most powerful forms of making and conveying meaning. This story is the author’s attempt to share with other readers his experience of two intertwined struggles: one with loss and one with the notion of self. Through a visually subtle readerly juxtaposition of the texts as one, the author weaves together the narrative of loss, a discussion of the postmodern suggestion of the death of the subject, and the difficulty of trying to situate the I in narrative research. It is a story of trying to make sense of experience through story.
