Abstract

We propose a hierarchical manufacturing process model that consists of three parts to represent a concurrent manufacturing activity using a formal description technique They are a manufacturing group interface model, manufacturing process information model and dynamic manufacturing process model In this model the object is treated as a communication target The process is represented as an observation of the communication Finally, we present a formal description of the hierarchical manufacturing process model
