Abstract
This article reports the results of a survey of family friendly programs offered by a randomly selected sample of public organizations The results suggest public agencies vary in the number of programs offered Although respondents believe implementing these programs is in the best interest of their organizations, they have little evidence to support this conclusion. Few organizations select programs systemically or assess the needs of employees prior to program implementation Only slightly more evaluated the effects of those programs The implications of these results and suggestions for the evaluation of family friendly programs are presented
