Abstract
This article provides information on eight new or previously unpublished aspects of the Conflict Tactics Scales (CTS), including new subscales and scoring methods, short forms, and new or little used methods of analysis, including reevaluation and revisions of two scales. A major section describe ways in which the CTS can be used to implement dyadic analysis, which is an important new development in family research. Finally, a section describes the use of the CTS to empirically take into account gender differences in the context in which partner physical violence occurs.
