Abstract
The performance of Muneer's slope solar radiation model is evaluated against one-year, hourly vertical and horizontal surface solar irradiation measurements at Cranfield, UK. It is demonstrated that if only the global horizontal irradiation data are available, the slope irradiation consisting of the beam, sky-diffuse and ground-reflected components may be estimated with satisfactory accuracy.
