Abstract
As the public school setting becomes increasingly more important in the socialization of candidates for the teach ing profession, questions arise as to the influence emerging from this context. Bunting examines the effects of student teaching for a sample of candidates placed with cooperating teachers who hold varying educational views. Results demonstrate a relation between the views of cooperating teachers and the changing perspectives of teacher candi dates.
