Abstract
This article considers the structures (that is, the frameworks, agencies and organization) within which Israeli school psychology operates. Secondly, it reviews the functions of school psychologists in terms of clientele, tasks inside and outside the schools, and the nature of child placement options. Finally, it describes and compares the university training programmes available for school psychologists in Israel. Israeli school psychology is dynamic, socially supported, and involved with the significant tasks of the society.
