Abstract

An extensive review of (mainly Russian) research in stabilisers for important commercial organic high polymers is presented. Model systems for estimating the efficiency of stabilisers are discussed. Two kinds can be recognised: (a) polymer-based, (b) others. The review also considers examples of the many techniques used in these model reaction experiments and discusses structure-activity relationships.
