Abstract
Wool fabric shrinkage can be controlled by pumping ozone-enriched water through top or fabric. Treating in water agitated and saturated with ozone by sparging, although inherently simpler, is less effective because circulation is weaker and less uniform. Temperatures from 18° to 32°C are satisfactory. Ozone utilization is about 2% (w/w [percentage of ozone based on conditioned (21°C, 65% RH) weight of top or fabric]) for top, and 3 to 4% for fabrics.
