Wool as an Apparel Fiber

Abstract

The author of this paper, admittedly interested in the utilization of wool, has made a study of present scientific and technical knowledge concerning the functional requirements of clothing and the properties of textile fibers. He discusses some of the principal factors governing fiber and fabric relationships as they relate to the requirements of apparel fabrics, such as bodily comfort and protection as well as appearance and style. The paper should be of value to all persons who are inter ested in the development of improved apparel textiles irrespective of their interest in particular types of fibers.—Editor
