Abstract
Polyethyleneterephthalate (PET) crystallized at temperatures of 150°C, 180°C, 210°C, and 240°C was examined by polarized-light microscopy, electron microscopy of ultrathin sections and fracture replicas, and small-angle x-ray scattering. The morphological observations are interpreted in terms of fibrillar-spherulitic structure where the fibrils are stacks of small, lamellar crystals.
