Abstract
Continuous filament viscose yarns of 100, 120, and 150 den were twisted with different turns per centimeter and their retraction was noted. An empirical relationship is given, based on experimental results, for determining yarn retraction. Variations in yarn diameter and density with twist are also discussed.
