Auto-generating Uniform Stochastic Web Images for Ink-jet Printing Textiles

Abstract

Based on a kind of nonlinear scientific technology—weak chaos, we developed a parameterized program to generate various Uniform Stochastic Web (USW) images, and proposed the methods of transforming mapping function to obtain abundant colorful digital images for ink-jet printing. The ways to edit the images to be textile patterns were also explored, and the patterns were successfully transferred to the textiles by an ink-jet printing machine. This study not only explored a new design resource for textile patterns, but also combined the digital design with the digital textile manufacturing, so it is in favor of perfecting digital textile technology.
