Abstract

The bending moment-curvature relation was derived for generalized elliptical cross-section fibers made of nonlinear material and particular values were found to agree with those already obtained for elliptical cross-section and rectangular cross-section. The bending shape factors, the relation between bending rigidity and linear density were explicitly determined. The bending stress-strain relation of the generalized elliptical cross-section fibers was also derived.
