Abstract
The relation between degree of flat set and crease recovery of chemically modified cotton fabrics is described. The correlation between the degree of flat set and crease recovery is good, but after washing it worsens. Values of the correlations between the degree of flat set and the crease recovery seem to interchange following washing treat ment. The relation between the ratio of the bending hysteresis and the initial elastic flexural rigidity and the crease recovery is good, indicating that this ratio can be used as a measure of crease recovery. However, the correlations in warp and weft directions before washing seem to interchange following washing.
