Diagnosing neuropathy in Baxter’s can be challenging due to its potential occurrence as a secondary condition to other common syndromes that cause heel pain, such as plantar fasciitis, calcaneal spur, hypertrophic muscle, tenosynovitis, space-occupying lesions or trauma. Ultrasound is a reliable and easily accessible device that guides injections for the treatment of Baxter’s neuropathy.
