Laser-Assisted Suction Lipectomy in Mastopexy and Breast Reduction

Abstract

The authors present a quantitative analysis of their last 12 consecutive patients who have undergone laser-assisted liposculpture-only mastopexies and breast reductions. This analysis indicates that the procedure is safe and effective, with no complications, one late revisionary surgery for cosmesis, and uniform nipple-areolar complex elevation. The authors’ experience suggests that lipoplasty-only mastopexy may be of more benefit than the literature indicates, especially when applied to patients whose main goals are cosmetic improvement rather than just the alleviation of the symptoms of hypermastia.
