Abstract
Gross and microscopic changes occuring after the application of 53% resorcinol peels are shown in this study. Patients were clearly satisfied, finding noticeable decrease (or disappearance) of the “tired-looking” appearance. From a microscopic point of view, improvement of polarity, horny plugs, and liquefaction of the basal cell layer, as well as in the elastosis of the dermis, was noted.
