Abstract
An increasing number of baby boomers in the population are seeking consultations for cosmetic surgical procedures. The approach described in this article in treating the cosmetic patient may lead to increased patient satisfaction. The initial consultation with careful consideration in choosing the appropriate cosmetic procedure, matching patient expectations with physician capabilities, detailed informed consent, and fastidious postoperative care make up the backbone of the key to a successful clinical outcome.
