Abstract
Mary Mather celebrates BAAF's pioneering role in placing health care at the heart of social care practice with children separated from their birth parents. In particular, the contribution of the Health Group, for example re-evaluating assessment procedures, promoting training and education, and supporting designated doctors and nurses, is discussed.
