The Comprehension of Verbal Humor by Visually Impaired Children

Abstract

This study compared the ability of 51 visually impaired and 51 sighted children, aged 7#15, to comprehend verbal humor presented to them in the form of jokes and nonjokes. It found that visually impaired children seem to comprehend humor as well as do their sighted peers.
