Abstract
While many state, local and private organizations advocate the use of “vision stimulation” to help the visually impaired person, little if any scientific evidence is available that directly supports the implementation of such programs. The purpose of this paper is to advance the premise that appropriate vision stimulation can increase the sensori-neural foundation for vision, and to present background evidence from a number of diverse fields for such a premise.
